Depending on project’s needs, Vergaengineering can provide all levels of shop prefabrication, including the following:
Conventional extent of fabrication is typically including radiant panels and process coil sectors (to be assembled at site). Radiant section can be supplied in lined or unlined panels with or without external casing painting.
Refractory material and anchors can be supplied loose for site installation.
Radiant coils supplied in fully welded and tested sectors or banjos.
All other items are supplied loose for field installation.
Stack, ducts and breeching supplied in prefabricated lined sections with the external casing prime painted.
Convection sections are always supplied in prefabricated modules, with refractory already installed and coils fully installed and tested.
Modularized extent of fabrication is typically including modular radiant sections supplied fully assembled (including refractory and coil).
Fully dressed extent of fabrication is further reducing the required site works.
Fired heaters are assembled including cable trays, cabling to junction boxes, burners, utility piping, instruments, etc. Ladders and platforms can also be pre-mounted.
This degree of modularisation adds significant cost and is usually considered when required by projects to be performed during very short shut-down period or for extreme climates or when there is lack of labour availability or with very high labour costs at site. Modular strategy can ensure shortened schedules, limited works at site, improved safety, reduction of overall costs and can be a key factor in complex projects, but requires a complete rethinking of the project organization, starting from the design phase.
Self-Propelled Modular Trailers (SPMT) are multi-axle trailers propelled by hydraulic drive motors with computer-controlled wheels, all individually controllable, in order to evenly distribute weight and steer accurately. SPMT can be used for transporting large and heavy modularized Fired Heaters.
