Vergaengineering has organized a course on the following topic: “Fired Heater Modularization”.

Vergaengineering has attended with its stand to ADIPEC 2016 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (7-10 November 2016).

Like every year in this season, at sunset, the sky in front of Vergaengineering offices above Milan Central Station is invaded by thousands of starlings flying. They create hypnotic forms in groups, preparing the great winter migration to Africa.

Vergaengineering has attended with its stand to the 8th edition of SAOGE, Saudi Arabia International Oil & Gas Exhibition (17-19 October 2016).

Vergaengineering has been awarded for the supply of 3 Regeneration Gas Fired Heaters for the new on-shore facilities that will serve the exploitation of the “supergiant” Zohr gas field, located off the Egyptian coast in the Mediterranean sea. The scope also includes the supply of the control system, fuel piping and instrumentation. Vergaengineering proprietary software VEDYNSIM®2015, internally developed to simulate the dynamic response of a Fired Heater to cyclic operation, has been specifically used for the project.

Vergaengineering announces the recent signing of a contract with a large Refinery in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The contract covers 3 projects related to next year general turn around and overall modernization program of the Refinery. The projects are related to a major revamping of two existing heaters, a Visbreaker and Vacuum Distillation Unit heater. Vergaengineering scope of work foresees site works, including dismantling of old units and installation of new equipment. For the same Refinery, Vergaengineering already supplied three different furnaces in the recent years.

Vergaengineering has organized an internal course on the following topic: the requirements of the new SOLAS (Safety Of Life At Sea), requesting that the Verified Gross Mass (VGM) of each container shall be declared before it is loaded on board the ship. Over the past decades, one of the key contributing factors to marine casualties and incidents was determined by the wrongly declared container mass, especially in consideration of the rapid increase in ships size.

In June 2016, Vergaengineering attended to the IFRF TOTeM (Topic Orientated Technical Meeting) at Sheffield University in the UK. Topic of the Meeting have been the “safe design and operation of fired equipment in the oil and gas industry: challenges and best practices”. IFRF (International Flame Research Foundation) is the research organization of the global combustion and energy community. IFRF mission is to advance applied combustion research and to promote cooperation and information transfer throughout the international combustion and energy arena.
